Tauerville Vanilla Flash Review, my first impressions of this wonderful boozy vanilla fragrance with Andy Tauer himself. I think Andy Tauer has given us another winner of a fragrance here and what a deal it is too, $63 dollars for a EDP concentration in a 30ml bottle. Wonderful stuff for sure, I really do love Vanilla Flash and continue to wear it over and over again. Please check out Vanilla Flash and Rose Flash by Tauerville Perfumes or Tauer Perfumes from Andy Tauer!
My obsession as of late is the dominant note of rose in perfumes I just can’t get enough of it. The smell of roses is intoxicating and addicting and I keep wanting more. I have over 20 rose dominant fragrances, perfumes but wanted to keep the list short as I don’t pull for the other fragrances as much as I pull for these perfumes.
This is a Top 10 Rose Fragrances and Perfumes list for 2014. The top, top has not changed much but who knows when I find another masterpiece it might change this Top 10 Rose Fragrances and Perfumes list in 2015 so in the meantime the heavy hitters in my collection that also dominate other lists of mine still stay on top.
The rose note is here to stay and each and every one of my perfumes on this list is completely different from one another. All with a big dominant note of rose but all quite different. That’s what makes this list unique with rose as a dominant note.

Lalique Encre Noire Pour Elle vs Amouage Lyric Man
I would never have discovered that Lalique’s Encre Noire Pour Elle smelled so similar to Amouage’s Lyric Man. I wanted to compare Encre Noire by Lalique with the ladies version of Encre Noire called simply Encre Noire Pour Elle. It was because of this I noticed it was similar to one of my most loved rose fragrances from the last couple of months. This is because both Encre Noire Pour Elle and Amouage Lyric Man have a dominant note of rose.
On my first spray I was like this is reminding me of something I have smelled, it’s very close to something I have or have worn or sprayed. It was two or three sprays later that I realized it’s similar to Amouage Lyric Man. I have heard from men that Lyric Man is very feminine but I don’t find it very feminine myself. I find it just a perfect beautiful fresh rose scent. One that is not too heavey but it’s potent if you know what I mean. It has great power. The Encre Noire Pour Elle is not as bright as Lyric Man but those of you on a budget who want Lyric Man try the Encre Noire Pour Elle and see the similarities.
Check out Encre Noire Pour Elle and you’ll see what I mean by how close it is to Amouage Lyric Man to the other scent it is. A man can pull off and wear Encre Noire Pour Elle especially since a man can wear Amouage Lyric Man! 🙂
Once again I’m exploring an indie house and this time it’s Imaginary Authors! I wanted to start out with Bull’s Blood first as Bull’s Blood seemed like the most intriguing of the notes in all of the fragrances I received from Josh Meyer the nose and owner behind Bull’s Blood.
I’m actually pleasantly surprised at how great Bull’s Blood is by Imaginary Authors! It’s a great scent to start my exploration of the Imaginary Authors! And you know me I’m a huge fan of Rose and Patchouli in fragrances and this one is all about that but with a lot of musk and some leather or suede or material/cloth of some kind in the mix. It’s great. At times I get hints of Musk Oud from By Kilian. Overall a great scent. Check it out if you haven’t and stay tuned for more First Impression reviews of Imaginary Authors fragrances!!
Histoires De Parfums Moulin Rouge Fragrance Review
I love everything about Moulin Rouge and I enjoy wearing this powdery, fresh fragrance. Days that I want something simple I grab for Moulin Rouge from Histoires De Parfums. I know that some men might find Moulin Rouge a bit challenging to wear as it does come off feminine but once you get past that you might enjoy it. Just think of the powdery qualities of Dior Homme Intense? Histoires de Parfums Moulin Rouge has the same dominant iris note that’s in Dior Homme Intense but they both go into different directions.
Histoires de Parfums Moulin Rouge 1189 captures the Moulin Rouge in a bottle. Just give it a sniff you’ll see what I mean!
Finally the last video for the great Sebastiane fragrances collection and this is first impressions review of Black Magic.
I was actually not that excited about Black Magic that’s why I left it to the very very end. I was not that excited about the notes so that is the reason it got left behind but I liked it and enjoyed it a lot and probably would own this one because it smells great. I should have switched it up with Urban Legend.
It’s a clean scent and could be an everyday scent and would be perfect for spring and summer wear as well. Now that I’ve sniffed and shot these videos I’d love to go back and sniff Sebastiane’s fragrances again and see how they do since I know a little more about the fragrances. I’d love to give Urban Legend another try to see if I like it after the second sniff.
Thanks so much for watching the series of videos for Sebastiane fragrances!
I was very intrigued with the Hermes Voyage d’Hermes fragrance concept the bottle that is but I wanted something potent so when the EDP was launched late 2012 I wanted to take a sniff and see how it was. I loved it immediately and I loved that it was a very fresh and spicy and man the cardamom is king in this fragrance. Those of you that love cardamom in your perfumes and fragrances and colognes should take note here. This is an Hermes fragrance after all so it’s going to be very fresh but with that spiciness from the cardamom.
With spring and summer just around the corner Hermes Voyage d’Hermes Parfum is going to be one of those fresh spicy scents that I’m going to be pulling for. It’s excellent and works pretty nicely. It has decent longevity and performance for a fresh scent. If you don’t know about Hermes Voyage d’Hermes Parfum check it out I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how great it smells!!
Christian Dior Mitzah vs Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan
Christian Dior Mitzah and Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan are two beautiful ambers that I enjoy wearing. They both have similarities but loads of differences as well. Unfortunately Mitzah by Christian Dior from the La Collection Privee has been discontinued. So if you’re craving another bottle of Mitzah then look no further as Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan will satisfy just fine.
Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan comes off a bit earthy spicier with the cumin and caraway seed notes in it. Giving it a bit of a BO vibe but it’s an awesome amber fragrance and one of the best. And Mitzah by Christian Dior is a pretty version of an amber with loads of cinnamon and honey. Perfect for cozying up. Mitzah was inspired by Mitzah one of Christian Dior’s muses. To see a full review of Dior’s Mitzah see video after Christian Dior Mitzah VS Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan video.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian – Lumiere Noire Fragrance Review
Maison Francis Kurkdjian – Lumiere Noire Pour Homme is one of those rare fragrances with a dominant rose and patchouli note that’s perfect for everyday wear. Lumiere Noire is a fresh spicy rose and patchouli dominant fragrance that I love to wear. It smells clean and lasts a long time but this is not a beast. It’s soft, warm, sophisticated and classy for everyday wear.
If you don’t like rose in scents you will like the rose in Lumiere Noire Pour Homme. If you don’t like patchouli in scents you will like the patchouli in Lumiere Noire.
This is my Cartier Declaration d’Un Soir Fragrance Review! It’s a beautiful masculine rose scent with spices and freshness. I like this so much the rose is there but it’s not overpowering it’s light but not weak.
If you’ve thought about Cartier Declaration d’Un Soir then don’t think twice do check it out as you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the quality and how great it is. If you like Roadster think it with roses added. That’s how I feel Cartier Declaration d’Un Soir is. The DNA of Cartier fragrances is in Cartier Declaration d’Un Soir. I’m loving Cartier Declaration d’Un Soir! 🙂
