The Body Shop White Musk vs White Musk Sport

The Body Shop White Musk vs White Musk Sport

I’ve been a huge fan of the Body Shop’s White Musk For Men for sometime now and recently found White Musk Sport For Men at the Body Shop and wanted to give it a try. In the store when I smelled White Musk Sport I liked it. Although it did seem to be a bit on the light side but it had that muskiness of White Musk For Men but with like a citrus lemony thing. So I bought White Musk Sport and brought it home and was excited about having it. And unfortunately White Musk Sport was a complete let down.

White Musk Sport starts out very nice but dries down fast to something very metallic and unpleasant and nothing like White Musk For Men. I couldn’t wait for the metallic note to leave me as it was very sharp. Unfortunately it also doesn’t perform as good as White Musk For Men. White Musk For Men is a cheapie gem for me. It works great, makes me smell excellent and clean and fresh and soapy and I get compliments galore with White Musk For Men. Ladies seem to like this one on me a lot. Not sure why but it’s crazy. I think it’s because it has this very clean and soapy quality which is very nice!!

What are your thoughts about the two??

As always please watch, subscribe, rate, comment and share this video. Thank you very much!!

Xerjoff Casamorati Lira 1888 Unboxing And First Impressions

Xerjoff Casamorati Lira 1888 Unboxing And First Impressions

This is my very first bottle of one of the most expensive fragrances I have ever bought and so far so good. Well I’m very very impressed with Xerjoff fragrances so far. The packaging is awesome. The bottle rocks even though it’s a bit gaudy! Lira smells great, I love it. I’m like a kid in a candy shop here and opening up a fragrances that I’ve been anticipating for a long time. And this Xerjoff literally smells like candy, sweets so it was a perfect unboxing. Watch the video to find out more.

Why I’m Getting Rid Of My Bergamotto Marino by Gianfranco Ferre

Why I’m Getting Rid Of My Bergamotto Marino by Gianfranco Ferre

Oh yeah! Simply put it sucks in performance! I can use a 10 dollar cologne called 4711 for the performance I get because they are comparable. Also I don’t care for the melony salty marine or aquatic accord in this fragrance. So this is the reason I’m getting rid of Bergamotto Marino.

So you tell me! Did I screw up? I think I did good. There are a lot of other fragrances in the same category that perform much better. Try Mugler Cologne by Thierry Mugler or 4711 by Mäurer & Wirtz. If you double the price you can even bump up to Eau d’Hadrien by Annick Goutal for a real nice sharp citrus scent perfect for hot humid weather!!

Imaginary Authors Bull’s Blood Fragrance Review

Imaginary Authors Bull’s Blood Fragrance Review

Once again I’m exploring an indie house and this time it’s Imaginary Authors! I wanted to start out with Bull’s Blood first as Bull’s Blood seemed like the most intriguing of the notes in all of the fragrances I received from Josh Meyer the nose and owner behind Bull’s Blood.

I’m actually pleasantly surprised at how great Bull’s Blood is by Imaginary Authors! It’s a great scent to start my exploration of the Imaginary Authors! And you know me I’m a huge fan of Rose and Patchouli in fragrances and this one is all about that but with a lot of musk and some leather or suede or material/cloth of some kind in the mix. It’s great. At times I get hints of Musk Oud from By Kilian. Overall a great scent. Check it out if you haven’t and stay tuned for more First Impression reviews of Imaginary Authors fragrances!!

Histoires De Parfums Moulin Rouge Fragrance Review

Histoires De Parfums Moulin Rouge Fragrance Review

I love everything about Moulin Rouge and I enjoy wearing this powdery, fresh fragrance. Days that I want something simple I grab for Moulin Rouge from Histoires De Parfums. I know that some men might find Moulin Rouge a bit challenging to wear as it does come off feminine but once you get past that you might enjoy it. Just think of the powdery qualities of Dior Homme Intense? Histoires de Parfums Moulin Rouge has the same dominant iris note that’s in Dior Homme Intense but they both go into different directions.

Histoires de Parfums Moulin Rouge 1189 captures the Moulin Rouge in a bottle. Just give it a sniff you’ll see what I mean!

Hermes Voyage d’Hermes Parfum Review

Hermes Voyage D Hermes Parfum Review

I was very intrigued with the Hermes Voyage d’Hermes fragrance concept the bottle that is but I wanted something potent so when the EDP was launched late 2012 I wanted to take a sniff and see how it was. I loved it immediately and I loved that it was a very fresh and spicy and man the cardamom is king in this fragrance. Those of you that love cardamom in your perfumes and fragrances and colognes should take note here. This is an Hermes fragrance after all so it’s going to be very fresh but with that spiciness from the cardamom.

With spring and summer just around the corner Hermes Voyage d’Hermes Parfum is going to be one of those fresh spicy scents that I’m going to be pulling for. It’s excellent and works pretty nicely. It has decent longevity and performance for a fresh scent. If you don’t know about Hermes Voyage d’Hermes Parfum check it out I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how great it smells!!

Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Collection Tender Oud And Desert Oud Review

Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Collection Tender Oud And Desert Oud Review

Dolce & Gabbana’s Velvet Collection fragrances Velvet Tender Oud and Velvet Desert Oud are pleasantly surprising in scent and quality. I loved them upon first sniff and they are excellent perfumes. But when you have your fragrance wardrobe full of oud fragrances and rose and oud combo perfumes are these two worth adding to your collection?

Velvet Tender Oud and Velvet Desert Oud smell excellent as I mentioned it already and perhaps they are worth owning if you don’t have any other similar fragrances or perfumes in your collection but if you do I think you better think twice.

Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber Cologne Review

Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber Cologne Review

Earl-Grey-Cucumber-Cologne-Review

I was pleasantly surprised with Jo Malone’s Earl Grey & Cucumber cologne. I’m not the type that loves a lot of aquatic type fragrances but this Earl Grey & Cucumber is a winner for me from the Jo Malone brand.

The tea notes, the cucumber and water notes all work perfectly here in Jo Malone Earl Grey & Cucumber. This is a fragrance to wear during the warm months as it has a very refreshing and cooling effect during the warm months. I’ve been a fan of Jo Malone for a while now but lately have not been too excited about the fragrances but this Earl Grey & Cucumber from the Jo Malone Tea Collection is a solid release. This was released in 2011 then shelved then re-released again. If you haven’t smelled Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber I suggest get your nose on it. It smells excellent!

Bond No. 9 I Love New York For Holidays Review

Bond No. 9 I Love New York For Holidays Review

I_Love_New_York_Holidays_Hires_large

Bond No. 9 I Love New York For Holidays is a solid release from Bond No. 9’s less expensive line. Once spray of I Love New York For Holidays and you are immediately put into the Holiday spirit. This is a gourmand after all with a big patchouli and apricot note. which dries down to a sweeter, creamier praline vibe. It’s smells great and it’s one of the better releases from Bond No. 9 this year.

Perfumista Avenue was good but Bond No 9 I Love New York For Holidays is even better. I Love New York For Holidays is for anyone into gourmandy fragrances or for anyone into Thierry Mugler’s Angel or Bond No. 9. Nuits de Noho or other similar fragrances. Check it out I know you will love it.  Spray some on and immediately be put into the holiday spirit!
