Imaginary Authors A City On Fire Review With Josh Myer. This is a quick review of A City On Fire by Imaginary Authors at the Imaginary Authors workshop in Portland, Oregon. This was also such a treat to sit with Josh Myer himself at his own workshop to sniff some of the notes in the perfumes he’s created including A City On Fire. Josh and I discuss A City On Fire and the notes that went into making this excellent smoky fragrance.
Josh also mentioned that he has some new perfumes in the works and one of them is a rose dominant one which I can’t wait for. I now am the proud owner of 4 perfumes from Imaginary Authors and the lastest of which is The Cobra And The Canary with A City On Fire, Mosaic and Bull’s Blood! Thank you for watching my Imaginary Authors A City On Fire Review with Josh Myer!
As always please watch, rate, comment, subscribe and share this video. I appreciate it. And stay tuned for more videos very soon!!
Finally going out with a bang with Imaginary Authors Mosaic as my last first impressions review of Imaginary Authors fragrances! I’m glad I saved Mosaic to the last since I love it so much. It’s a nice fresh scent perfect for summer which has started my little obsession with the petigrain note in fragrances.
Mosaic is a woody chypre fragrance with a dominant petitgrain note along with bergamot, cedar, limestone and artesian well. So it’s got a very nice, pleasing cooling effect, very relaxing like a spa experience. Those of you that love the spa effect or a spa treatment then you should get your hands on this. It’s so good I got a full bottle of Mosaic, my second bottle from Imaginary Authors. Imaginary Authors Mosaic is highly recommended!! 🙂
Another great release from Imaginary Authors. This time the author is Lenora Blumberg and the fragrance book is called Violet Disguise. I decided to leave Violet Disguise til the end because the notes mostly dominant note of violet (which I thought since violet is in the name) is not one of my favorite notes. But in reality when I sniffed it on camera for the first time I enjoyed Violet Disguise. It’s actually more dominant in plum note rather than the violet note. It’s a fun fruity fragrance almost candy like. Like those plum candy’s that you pick up at Japanese Sushi restaurant when you are on your way out.
This is actually a quite lovely fragrance and as always I should not judge a book by it’s cover as I could totally be wrong with what I’m judging. Those of you who have thought the same with Imaginary Authors Violet Disguise don’t just this one as it’s quite pleasant. I can wear this when I want something real fun. I do have one very small negative thing to say it could come off a bit girlie as in young girl but I’m fine with it that’s why it’s fun. Do give Imaginary Authors Violet Disguise a chance and I think you will enjoy this one.
Imaginary Authors Cobra & The Canary Fragrance Review
This is a quick My First Impressions review video for Imaginary Authors Cobra & The Canary fragrance by Josh Meyer. I left The Cobra & The Canary towards the end as I wasn’t too excited about it on initial looking into the notes but once it came time to review The Cobra And The Canary I got excited about it. And Imaginary Authors Cobra & The Canary does not disappoint either.
It’s pretty nice. The tobacco note is actually a tobacco flower not an actual dried tobacco leaf that’s in a typical tobacco dominant fragrance that I’m enjoying lately so it’s more floral which is a nice change. So once again I’m very impressed by Imaginary Authors with The Cobra & The Canary and once again this is going to be bottle worthy. I’ve got two more reviews coming up with Imaginary Authors and we shall see which fragrances are winners from the Imaginary Authors collection of fragrances.
Imaginary Authors Memoirs Of A Trespasser Fragrance Review
Memoirs Of A Trespasser is nother great fragrance from the Imaginary Authors collection of indie fragrances created by Josh Meyer. This a masculine vanilla fragrance that a man can pull off. It’s a big, bold, woodsy, earthy vanilla. It has slight touches of booziness which I love.
Memoirs Of A Trespasser author is Philip Sava again who also wrote Cape Heartache. The two fragrance compliment each if you think about it. They are both utilizing woods and earth for the notes.
I’m very impressed with Imaginary Authors and can’t wait to go through the rest of the collection of fragrances in the catalog of it’s fragrances.
I was very excited about the notes for Cape Heartache and I was right. I love anything with pine, cedar or anything foresty smelling. Woods, green, leaves, dried plants, dead trees, musty old forest. I love it. The only thing I was worried about Cape Heartache was the strawberry note I thought would clash but it’s surprisingly great here. So far I’m quite impressed with the Imaginary Authors collection of fragrances composed by Josh Meyer. What do you think of Cape Heartache? The Imaginary Author is Philip Sava who also has another novel called Memoirs Of A Trespasser. I will review Memoirs Of A Trespasser soon!
Imaginary Authors Falling Into The Sea Fragrance Review
Falling Into The Sea is the second fragrance review from the Imaginary Authors collection of fragrances. I thought the notes sounded the second best in this Imaginary Authors collection so I decided to review Falling Into The Sea next.
Falling Into The Sea smells great but it’s not a fragrance I would rush out to get. I’m more into the darker scents so I will stick to Bulls Blood for now even thous Falling Into The Sea smells nice. It’s a great composition of citrus notes like grapefruit, lemon and bergamot along with lychee fruit notes along with exotic tropical flower note and warm sand.
Falling Into The Sea is a unique fresh scent. Check it out from Imaginary Authors.
Once again I’m exploring an indie house and this time it’s Imaginary Authors! I wanted to start out with Bull’s Blood first as Bull’s Blood seemed like the most intriguing of the notes in all of the fragrances I received from Josh Meyer the nose and owner behind Bull’s Blood.
I’m actually pleasantly surprised at how great Bull’s Blood is by Imaginary Authors! It’s a great scent to start my exploration of the Imaginary Authors! And you know me I’m a huge fan of Rose and Patchouli in fragrances and this one is all about that but with a lot of musk and some leather or suede or material/cloth of some kind in the mix. It’s great. At times I get hints of Musk Oud from By Kilian. Overall a great scent. Check it out if you haven’t and stay tuned for more First Impression reviews of Imaginary Authors fragrances!!
