Annick Goutal’s Eau D’Hadrien is one of my favorite citrus fragrances ever. This is a classic citrus aromatic fragrance launched in the early 1980s that still smells fresh today. The Annick Goutal house is the underrated niche fragrance house that needs to be discovered and I found it necessary to finally review this masterpiece fragrance since summer is just around the corner.
For anyone into the way lemons, sharp tart juicy lemons smell like then they would be very happy with Eau d’Hadrien because it’s like being served lemon juice or lemonade in a bottle. This isn’t a sweet lemon it’s pretty sour, tart but very refreshing. Those of you that live in hot, humid climates then Eau d’Dadrien is going to be perfect for you. Check it out. Annick Goutal fragrances if unisex come in two types of bottles. Eau d’Hadrien is a unisex scent so the EDT comes in a men’s bottle and ladies bottle. The EDP which is what I’m reviewing here only comes in a ladies bottle. But the scent is the same just a heavier version in the EDP.
I love Eau d’Hadrien and will continue to wear this masterpiece.
Cartier’s Eau de Cartier – Zeste de Soleil is an excellent spring summer fragrance that was released late last fall. It’s a citrus dominant fragrance utilizing yuzu, the Japanese grapefruit with the signature mint used in Cartier’s Roadster as well as passion fruit. It’s not a very busy fragrance with lots of notes but it’s a perfect grapefruit dominant scent that I absolutely love. If I hadn’t received such a nice big size of Zeste de Soleil I would be rushing out to buy this one as I would put it to use a lot this spring during the warmer days and of course the warm days of summer.
Those of you looking for a new grapefruit fragrance do check out Cartier Eau de Cartier – Zeste de Soleil as it’s definitely an excellent scent worthy of adding to any spring and summer fragrance collection. And it’s a great deal on amazon for $85 dollars!
Why I’m Getting Rid Of My Bergamotto Marino by Gianfranco Ferre
Oh yeah! Simply put it sucks in performance! I can use a 10 dollar cologne called 4711 for the performance I get because they are comparable. Also I don’t care for the melony salty marine or aquatic accord in this fragrance. So this is the reason I’m getting rid of Bergamotto Marino.
So you tell me! Did I screw up? I think I did good. There are a lot of other fragrances in the same category that perform much better. Try Mugler Cologne by Thierry Mugler or 4711 by Mäurer & Wirtz. If you double the price you can even bump up to Eau d’Hadrien by Annick Goutal for a real nice sharp citrus scent perfect for hot humid weather!!
Yves Saint Laurent M7 and M7 Oud Absolou First Impressions Review
I finally got to experience the infamous M7 by Yves Saint Laurent. This fragrance was composed by the two noses – Jacques Cavallier and Alberto Morillas with Tom Ford as creative director during his short lived career at YSL while Yves was still alive.
My first impressions of M7 is an excellent Oriental woody fragrance that I loved. It’s a shame that M7 by YSL is discontinued. Although it’s still around and still obtainable for around 200 dollars it’s unfortunate it’s discontinued. M7 has also been reformulated and rereleased recently and available. It’s a great fragrance as M7 Oud Absolu I think the original M7 is the superior scent.
I’m grateful I got to experience M7 finally and will think hard if I want to go ahead and shell out 200 dollars for a bottle of M7. If I’m desperate I’ll do it otherwise I’ll add a bottle of M7 Oud Absolu in my collection! Thanks for watching!
Finally the last video for the great Sebastiane fragrances collection and this is first impressions review of Black Magic.
I was actually not that excited about Black Magic that’s why I left it to the very very end. I was not that excited about the notes so that is the reason it got left behind but I liked it and enjoyed it a lot and probably would own this one because it smells great. I should have switched it up with Urban Legend.
It’s a clean scent and could be an everyday scent and would be perfect for spring and summer wear as well. Now that I’ve sniffed and shot these videos I’d love to go back and sniff Sebastiane’s fragrances again and see how they do since I know a little more about the fragrances. I’d love to give Urban Legend another try to see if I like it after the second sniff.
Thanks so much for watching the series of videos for Sebastiane fragrances!
This is my Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme Cologne Review! Once again after testing an aquatic fragrance I’m not wowed by it. I loved most of the notes listed in this fragrance but the one note that didn’t excite me was the seaweed note. And sure enough I wasn’t really impressed with Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme. The one note that I don’t like in fragrances is the seaweed note and this one is seaweed heavy on my skin and comes off pretty awful.
Upon initial spray and on the top notes Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme smells excellent but it’s the dry down where the seaweed note comes through pretty heavily and strong . And this is where I’m turned off by Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme. It starts to remind me of Bond No. 9’s Coney Island which I do not like at all. If you are into Aquatic fragrances you might like this one. Check it out if you do! I on the other hand I’m not too happy with it.
Annick Goutal Nuit Etoilee one is a classic mint and pine scent and it is perfect for everyday wear. The mint in Annick Goutal Nuit Etoilee is a dried mint and not a fresh mint so the mint comes across like a mint tea. It’s beautiful, fresh and spicy and comes off a bit dark, mysterious and magical. I would wear this to work and use it is perfect for the person that wants to smell great but not make a statement with their fragrance.
If you haven’t tried Annick Goutal then start out with Nuit Etoilee. If you like Cartier Roadster then you will love Annick Goutal Nuit Etoilee!
