This is my review of Von Eusersdorff Classic Patchouli an Oriental Woody fragrance with a big dominant patchouli note. That’s why this fragrance was called Classic Patchouli. Those of you into the patchouli note will love this one. It’s big, bold and all about a creamy, almost chocolately patchouli. Long lasting as well.
This is my first sniff of a Von Eusersdorff fragrance and I’m pleasantly surprised at how great this is. I’m looking forward to trying more by Von Eusersdorff including Classic Vetiver, Classic Orange, Classic Myrrh and Classic Mimosa.
Amouage Lyric Man is one of my favorite rose scents and it’s a new discovery. It’s a fresh rose fragrance but not light because the rose in here is pretty thick and heavy but still fresh. And this is why Amouage Lyric Man lasts because of the concentration. It’s one potent fragrance which makes it an excellent quality fragrance and this is another reason why Lyric Man has shot up in my top 10 list of rose based fragrances.
I know there’s some hate for Amouage Lyric Man but give it a try. Those of you that love roses in fragrances will love this one. It’s excellent at least I love it. What are your thoughts on Amouage Lyric Man?

How about an oud fragrance that smells great and only costs 10 bucks? Well I found it and it’s called Intense Oud by Jovan. Jovan has been making some excellent inexpensive fragrances since the 70s and they have released a gem of a fragrance now with Intense Oud along with 2 other fragrances as part of their Oriental inspired collection of fragrances which also includes Secret Amber and Silky Rose.
Those of you that thought about getting into the oud world of fragrances but found oud perfumes to be too expensive then this is the one you need to try. It’s a very nice oud and inexpensive. Jovan Intense Oud reminds me of other more expensive oud fragrances by the very popular niche brands like By Kilian and Maison Francis Kurkdjian and even others. What you get with Intense Oud is a quality fragrance that could be bottled in a more expensive fragrance brands fragrances and sold for a lot more. Except that it’s only 10 dollars. Such a steal this is and I highly recommend it!!
This is my Thierry Mugler Pure Wood Fragrance Review! I was so excited that there was going to be a new A*Men flanker by Thierry Mugler. So I was anticipating the release and finally I received a small mini decant or mini bottle. This video is my first impressions of Thiery Mugler Pure Wood.
Did I love Pure Wood? Did I hate Pure Wood? What did I think of Pure Wood?
Tauer Perfumes Cologne Du Maghreb Fragrance Review
A fresh fragrance from Tauer Perfumes? Yes! Cologne du Maghreb by Tauer Perfumes was a nice surprise for me and surely a bottle worthy fragrance. I think Cologne du Maghreb is a perfect fragrance for those warm days as it’s a citrus aromatic and a Eau de Cologne. From my first impressions though I can tell this Eau de Cologne is going to be an excellent performing fragrance.
I get the DNA of my L’Air du Desert Marocain but this is a fresh, spicy lemoney citrus fragrance. The bottle for Cologne du Maghreb is also different than the other fragrances by Andy Tauer, Tauer Perfumes.
If you do not know Cologne du Maghreb then do check it out. This cologne is going to be perfect for those of you in very hot and humid climates. Definitely recommended!
Here finally is my Top 20 Summer Fragrances, Colognes & Perfumes video. I have compiled my favorite selections of fragrances, colognes and perfumes to include in this list. These fragrances are the ones I’m going to be grabbing for over and over once it heats up in San Francisco which is late in the summer time or if I leave San Francisco and go outside of the city where it’s usually a lot warmer than what it is in the city. I have tried to balance out the list of fragrances here with as many styles for summer by including fragrances that are not traditionally citrusy but I rely on those citrus fragrances for summer a whole lot as I love them. Citrus has an automatic freshness about it so I love that about citrus fragrance. I also enjoy citrus flowers for summer and you will notice from this list. There are 20 fragrances that are perfect for summer time wear and 2 honorable mentions which are fairly new fragrances for me although the fragrances themselves are not so new.
I fell in love with the scent of Profumum Roma Acqua Viva and just had to get it. And I know it reminds me of Annick Goutal Eau d’Hadrien but they do have their nuances which I absolutely love. I love the lemon note in fragrances and I love to wear lemon dominant fragrances in the hot summer days. San Francisco does not get traditionally hot like the rest of California does but we do have heat waves occasionally and this Acqua Viva will be very satisfying and heat fighting when I’m ever in place where it heats up.
Compared to Annick Goutal Eau d’Hadrien the Profumum Roma Acqua Viva is a lot more potent and oilier. When you spray on your body you can see and feel the oil on your skin. You can tell that this Profumum Roma Acqua Viva or Profumum Roma fragrances in general are a lot more concentrated.
So far I’m very satisfied with Profumum Roma Acqua Viva and I know when I go and find other Profumum Roma fragrances I will really enjoy them. The only problem with these fragrances is that they are very expensive. Retailing for $240 plus tax. So if the price is steep then you have an alternative like Annick Goutal Eau d’Hadrien to fall back on as they are pretty close!!
Finally going out with a bang with Imaginary Authors Mosaic as my last first impressions review of Imaginary Authors fragrances! I’m glad I saved Mosaic to the last since I love it so much. It’s a nice fresh scent perfect for summer which has started my little obsession with the petigrain note in fragrances.
Mosaic is a woody chypre fragrance with a dominant petitgrain note along with bergamot, cedar, limestone and artesian well. So it’s got a very nice, pleasing cooling effect, very relaxing like a spa experience. Those of you that love the spa effect or a spa treatment then you should get your hands on this. It’s so good I got a full bottle of Mosaic, my second bottle from Imaginary Authors. Imaginary Authors Mosaic is highly recommended!!
This is a Woody Aromatic fragrance with dominant notes of cinnamon and cloves with patchouli and sandalwood and citruses. It’s one of the best designer fragrances I have purchased for a long long time and Costume National Homme is niche quality and could easily be worth double what it’s selling for.
Seriously the nose behind Costume National Homme is Dominique Ropion who is the nose behind Portrait Of A Lady by Frederic Malle and you can see some similarities with the two dominant notes of both fragrances, cinnamon and cloves. But it does stop there as both fragrances take on a life of their own.
If you’ve been wanting to check out Costume National Homme then now is the time as this is an excellent fragrance and would be perfect to wear in the fall and winter! Thanks for watching.
