This is my Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme Cologne Review! Once again after testing an aquatic fragrance I’m not wowed by it. I loved most of the notes listed in this fragrance but the one note that didn’t excite me was the seaweed note. And sure enough I wasn’t really impressed with Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme. The one note that I don’t like in fragrances is the seaweed note and this one is seaweed heavy on my skin and comes off pretty awful.
Upon initial spray and on the top notes Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme smells excellent but it’s the dry down where the seaweed note comes through pretty heavily and strong . And this is where I’m turned off by Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme. It starts to remind me of Bond No. 9′s Coney Island which I do not like at all. If you are into Aquatic fragrances you might like this one. Check it out if you do! I on the other hand I’m not too happy with it.

Dior Fahrenheit Le Parfum was a very exciting fragrance purchase for me. It’s a very vanilla dominant and boozy fragrance with the DNA of the original Dior Fahrenheit but with a more comforting delicious take on the original Fahrenheit EDT. Gone are the harsh gasoline and rubber notes that were in the original EDT from the 1980s and now you have a very pleasant potent scent which comes off very syrupy.
After several test wearings of Dior Fahrenheit Le Parfum I’ve come to a conclusion with this fragrance. It’s a great scent as I said but it’s performance is another thing. It’s not great which is a bummer. Find out by watching my Dior Fahrenheit Le Parfum Fragrance Review to see what it’s faults are.
Christian Dior Mitzah VS Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan
Christian Dior Mitzah and Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan are two beautiful ambers that I enjoy wearing. They both have similarities but loads of differences as well. Unfortunately Mitzah by Christian Dior from the La Collection Privee has been discontinued. So if you’re craving another bottle of Mitzah then look no further as Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan will satisfy just fine.
Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan comes off a bit earthy spicier with the cumin and caraway seed notes in it. Giving it a bit of a BO vibe but it’s an awesome amber fragrance and one of the best. And Mitzah by Christian Dior is a pretty version of an amber with loads of cinnamon and honey. Perfect for cozying up. Mitzah was inspired by Mitzah one of Christian Dior’s muses. To see a full review of Dior’s Mitzah see video after Christian Dior Mitzah VS Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan video.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian – Lumiere Noire Fragrance Review
Maison Francis Kurkdjian – Lumiere Noire Pour Homme is one of those rare fragrances with a dominant rose and patchouli note that’s perfect for everyday wear. Lumiere Noire is a fresh spicy rose and patchouli dominant fragrance that I love to wear. It smells clean and lasts a long time but this is not a beast. It’s soft, warm, sophisticated and classy for everyday wear.
If you don’t like rose in scents you will like the rose in Lumiere Noire Pour Homme. If you don’t like patchouli in scents you will like the patchouli in Lumiere Noire.
This is my Dior Homme Eau Fragrance Review. I was very excited about this new fragrance release called Dior Homme Eau by Christian Dior. Since I had just discovered Dior Homme Intense and fell in love with it instantly I had to try and perhaps purchase Dior Homme Eau. Macy’s is marketing the heck out of Dior Homme Eau and each time I entered Macy’s I was approached by the sales associates to try the new Dior Homme Eau. Mind you I don’t shop at Macy’s that frequently but I go in because I use the USPS inside the Macy’s here in San Francisco.
I tried Dior Homme Eau at Macy’s and thought this is pretty similar to Dior Homme Intense which I own or even perhaps a bit more like Dior Homme which I have smelled but do not own. I decided to go ahead and do a purchase of Dior Homme Eau. Unfortunately once I started wearing it I started noticing marine or sea notes come through with this fragrance. And I’m not really a big fan of marine or sea notes in fragrances. The good thing is Dior Homme Eau comes off like a watered down version of the Dior Homme Intense that I have. And every so often you do get those marine notes but the disappointing thing about Dior Homme Eau is that it dries down to a boring everyday average fragrance that you can pick up for cheap at the drugstore. Nothing to write home about here it’s plan Jane. If you have a chance to sniff out the whole line from Dior of the Dior Hommes do so if this is the only Dior Homme flanker you can get then this might do you just fine but I think Dior Homme Intense is the king of the Dior Homme’s in my opinion. The drydown in Dior Homme Eau loses all the iris and becomes this boring old generic fragrance that you can find in a lot of boring generic fragrances. This is nothing to write home about and is a disappointment!
Prada Amber Pour Homme VS Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense
Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense was the fragrance I purchased first then I fell more in love with Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense so I researched Prada Amber Pour Homme and fell in love with both. They both have similarities except that the notes have been reversed on the Intense. In other words some of the notes that were not so dominant in Prada Amber Pour Homme are no much more dominant in Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense.
Prada Amber Pour Homme is a perfect everyday and work scent. It’s clean, powdery and soapy and perfect for smelling great everyday without turning people off or overpowering your fragrances around folks. What I’ve been doing is spraying the Prada Amber Pour Homme during the day and at night I spray the Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense for more intensity. In Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense I get more of a patchouli dominant fragrance which I absolutely love.
This is my Cartier Declaration d’Un Soir Fragrance Review! It’s a beautiful masculine rose scent with spices and freshness. I like this so much the rose is there but it’s not overpowering it’s light but not weak.
If you’ve thought about Cartier Declaration d’Un Soir then don’t think twice do check it out as you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the quality and how great it is. If you like Roadster think it with roses added. That’s how I feel Cartier Declaration d’Un Soir is. The DNA of Cartier fragrances is in Cartier Declaration d’Un Soir. I’m loving Cartier Declaration d’Un Soir!
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Ciel De Gum Fragrance Review
Ciel De Gum translates to Sky Of Gum!
Ciel de Gum by Maison Francis Kurkdjian was love at first sniff. It was so good I wanted to immediately buy it but I held off for a day and went right back the following day and bought it. I loved how warm and spicy the cinnamon and pink pepper is in the MFK’s Ciel De Gum and how it’s balanced with the vanilla and amber notes. It’s delicious!
Ciel de Gum is exclusively created for the Gum Department Store in Moscow for it’s 120th anniversary so it’s sold in Gum Department Store exclusively or at the Maison Francis Kurkdjian boutique in Paris.
I love picking up rare and exclusive fragrances that are hard to find and get on trips and Ciel De Gum by Maison Francis Kurkdjian was an excellent choice. Anyone try Ciel de Gum? Do let me know.
OK so here’s my Top 5 list of fragrances, perfumes or colognes for Valentine’s Day. These Top 5 Valentine’s Fragrances are all unisex in my opinion so a man and a woman can pull it off. Also I have an honorable mention in this video so I have a total of 6 perfumes. Last but not least there’s a common note in all of these fragrances and if you think hard enough you will remember or know the note I’m talking about.
The note that’s in these perfumes is a note that is the universal flower that’s associated with the Valentines’ Day holiday. The rose. OK I am obsessed with rose in fragrances and this list will show that. I’m willing to explore more rose dominant perfumes in the future if I can get my hands on as I’m really enjoying this very beautiful note that’s in fragrances. And most of these rose dominant fragrances are not feminine at all. They are very unisex if not masculine fragrances. Thoughts?
